On Facebook A Picture Speaks Louder Than Words
Oct 04, 10
In January of 2010, Facebook increased its maximum images size from 604×604 pixels to 720×720 pixels. That’s 42% larger than the old size. So the largest photos you can now have on Facebook are 720×720 pixels.
It’s not just photo uploads that have changed in size. Facebook also changed the size of your profile picture as well. The maximum size your profile picture can be is 180×540 pixels. This is scaled down from what used to be 200×600 pixels. Yeah, that’s right, profile pictures will now be smaller.
If you are using FMBL, the maximum width for an image in your FBML tab is 520 pixels.
What do you think of the new images sizes on Facebook?
